■Teito Klein/Mikage/Ayanami
Teito Klein
The protagonist of the story. He was raised as an orphan in a church. Teito carries the Eye of Michael， the powerful artifact that his home country， the Raggs Kingdom， was ransacked for. The tragic death of a loved one catapults him into his quest for revenge against the Barsburg Empire and knowledge about his past， while he becomes entangled with the Gods， Verloren， and the 7 Ghosts.
Mikage
Teito's best friend， promising each other that they will die together and will always be "the best of friends". Mikage comes from a family of stewards. Despite the fact that his closeness with Teito makes him a target of ill will， he remains a bright and cheerful person， sticking with Teito even if others make fun of him.
Ayanami
The main antagonist who seeks the Eye of Michael， though he seems to also be searching for ’Zehel‘. His relationship with the 07-Ghosts is unknown，but he seems to be working for Verloren.

■Kemeko （ケメコ）
A girl robot doll, suddenly appears out of nowhere and pressing Sanpeita for marriage. She came to save him from the shadowy group who attempts to steel his dormant power. But her existence itself is steeped in mystery and seems to be somewhat involved with Mishima Electronics Corporation which sits in the middle of Akebono city.

■Sanpeita Kobayashi （小林三平太）
A high school boy, living in Akebono city, who happened to be drawn into an unordinary world suddenly after Kemeko’s attack. One thing, he does not realize the dormant mysterious power that lies inside his body which turns out to become the target among the shadowy groups…

■Haruka Nogizaka （乃木坂春香）
Idolized girl known by the nicknames “ The Silver Star of the Night ” and “ The Shining Princess on the Piano ”. A very skilled pianist with victories in international contests. She loves anime and manga deeply. But in middle school, she received a certain amount of prejudice towards it which caused her to keep it
a secret once she entered high school. When Yuto finds out about it, Haruka is relieved that he does not tell anyone or harass her about it.

■Yuto Ayase （綾瀬裕人）
An ordinary student at Hakujo Academy private high school . One day, Yuto discovers Haruka’s hidden secret and he starts to hang out with her which brings up the envy and jealousy of many of his fellow classmates. Yuto lives with his parents and his older sister, although his parents are always working and generally absent from home. Thus he is trained in housekeeping.
He tends to behave bluntly and normally likes to be left alone.

■Yoshimori Sumimura
The twenty-second Kekkishi to be of the Sumimuras.
In the daytime, he is just a regular 14-year-old boy who goes to a junior high school in Karasumori. But at night, he is a Kekkaishi who specializes in fighting Ayakashis (demons) to protect the neighbors of Karasumori. He generates a magical barrier around his prey by shouting “ketsu”, and exterminates it by shouting “metsu.”

■Tokine Yukimura
She is also a 16-year-old Kekkaishi.
A daughter of the Yukimuras, the rival family of the Sumiuras. The two families often argue about which one is the genuine descendant of the kekkashi family.
